I got my drone pilot's license. Does that count?

My brother who is on here does. I’d cut wood and he’d pilot it over there with the rest of it.

He doesn't post anymore, but MarshChicken got his a couple of years ago along with a plane. I honestly think he might fly more than he drives his truck at this point.

Just sold my dad’s plane a couple months ago. I got a bunch of hours logged but that’s it. Contemplated keeping the plane but it didn’t bring a lot of value to my family, plus annual expenses are high even for a small 2 seater. My brother in-law is a CFI and a retired American captain. If you need some info about getting your license I’m sure he’d be glad to talk with you.

I saw a tshirt years back that said, why drink and drive since you can smoke and fly

I have mine. A bucket list thing for me at 40, I'm 55 now. It's been a few years since I have flown in the left seat so I'm not current. I think I have 200 or so hours PIC (Pilot in Command) mostly in a Cessna 172. I keep saying I'm going to get back into it but have not done it.

Do you want to fly just for the fun of flying or do you plan on also using it to venture out? Regardless, go take some lessons until you at least solo. If you just want to have some fun flying, get you an ultralight or light sport.

I never got around to getting my pilot’s license, but I have some parachute jumps under my belt. That experience could be handy if flying a single engine plane…

    Good luck and have fun.
