Why does it look like they wasted a bunch of space?

They use to have floating docks in those spaces.

I am glad to know they are open. I did think that they were going to install docks in there. Matter of fact, I thought that was the hold up…

kidding, it doesn't really matter to me personally. I bet S is happy though, and a bunch of bass fishermen.. and carpet boat owners.

I heard they are waiting on some held up materials for the docks.

I hear the new ramps are deeper in the water than the old ramps.

When they finally draw the water down for the dam project that ramp will have water access.

Like mentioned much longer ramps. Hard to put a decent size boat in once the water got below 96'. A lot of axels have been ripped out from there. Something that should have been done long ago.

The work at the Wateree Dam will provide an additional 75,000 gallons per second of controlled flow release capacity from Lake Wateree, according to the release.

This sounds like a lot, but it equates to 10027 CFS, if my maths be wright

They need to do something. I really don't get bothered, it's been flooding up there waaay before my time.. I know I'm going to bring in a skid steer at least once every couple of years at my place. It's the only lake without floodgates, there's nothing they can do but watch it go over the dam.. they're certainly not going to flood the NC lakes above us.
