Default Dhall finally bought a boat boat

Looked for months for this boat and finally made it happen Friday.

I need ideas for rod holder set ups for striper and crappie. Post
Some pics of your rig so I can get ideas without drilling too many holes.

Nice sleigh. My next boat will be a Sportsman or Avenger bay boat. Congrats on your purchase.

And for Doug’s question, I get the drift master rod holders that fit in the seat bases, I wouldnt go drilling a bunch of holes in that boat, it’s to new and to nice to go doing that. I think I’d also bite the bullet and go 112lb 36 volt on the trolling motor, that console catches a lot more wind than you’d think.

    This.

You won't regret going with a 36 volt, especially if you decide to use it for inshore fishing.

How long before Doug sells the boat tho is the question??

Bumping this up as I just saw it posted for sale. The correct answer was 15 minutes.

Surely it already has a couple flush mounts. Probably could call them and get a longer top bar if you wanted to put more than just 2 rod holders per flush mount.

A fish bites 2 times a day, right before I get to the water, and as soon as my boat gets back on the trailer.

That's a great boat, nice layout and rides really well in a chop.

Great looking boat! I personally hate Driftmaster rodholders. On a nice new boat like that- the bent welded wire rodholder and bases look out of place in my opinion.
I exclusively fish for Striped bass in my Key West- and I have a combination of Burnewiin bases and Burnewiin rodholders.
    Google them up.
I have the GM650 bases and the GM400 bases. I use the RH5710 rodholders.
They are very versatile/adjustable and are high quality.
    Good luck!

Now D, you know that isn't my lane but don't you go Frankensteining up that nice sled with all that freshwater rigging. How about a couple of 3 rod holder "tridents" that you put in the gunwale holders?
Like Whack and Coastal said 36 volt trolling motor or you'll wish you had, that bow that eats chop catches a lot of breeze in anchor mode.

I will echo the 36V trolling motor on that boat, would also recommend the 72" shaft. I have a 20ft express and it is all my 80lb terrova wants on a strong tide.

Would you recommend a 36volt for any 22 foot baby boat?
