    What accounts for the gaps of no activity? Say October 17th?

    It's because of moon phase - we've still have never killed a big buck when the moon was between 30% and about 70% full either waxing or waning. I know it's possible and deer are killed during the half moon but I think the chances of are low without some outside interference moving the buck against its natural tendencies.

    Thanks Rubberhead!! I look forward to this every year and it's been spot on for us!! If I can make one selfish request, is there anyway you can make 2023 predictions available by this November? Lol!! We pick all of our vacations for the next year each November. I took 2 weeks for deer hunting this year and I hit it 50/50 this year by your info. One week predicts max activity level and one shows absolutely nothing!! All jokes aside, thanks again for taking the time to do this. I love watching it unfold week to week and comparing it between our circle of hunters.

    I’ll be in canada for the month of October. We had a blast chasing bucks in arkansas during the rut this past year though. Mine was biggest by weight but my pops had the best imo. My brother scored a meat deer (doe) as he had little time. Farmers sister shot the biggest rack no doubt w 14 points. We aged my dads buck at 8+. It was an old timer taking out another old timer. I lent him my rifle that morning knowing he was going to have a poke if one came out. He made it count and I enjoyed dragging it out for him.

    I do enjoy the charting you do. I come home and check cameras to see what I missed. I don’t do the cell thing.

    @ScoutLover - see attached.

    It's got the two "curves" I use - deer by calendar date, and deer by moon phase, along with a backcast of 2021 and the 2022 and 2023 predictions. 2023 will probably change some as I get more data but it'll be close.

    Don’t ask me why, but all 4 of the big ones me and double d killed last year came during the gaps in the chart you posted last year. Every one. 3 we killed in the morning and one I shot 2 hours before dark September 1st.

    Haha - maybe they're at your place on the valleys and at ours during the peaks...You can see where we killed our biggest four last year in the .pdf file.

    Nobody killed a buck on my place that borders y’all. Only does. Corn on me and beans on everything else shit up my whole deal. The playing field will be level this year as everyone has corn planted on all surrounding property’s.

    Interesting info. Two of my biggest bucks came on Oct 10th and 13th, both on a full moon well hours before sunset.

    Which part? The models shows very slow days on November 1st through about the 3rd then turning on almost overnight and getting very good for the 4th and 5th. This dip is driven by the moon phase.

    Huh? The model is never wrong...you just killed a big buck when it was least vulnerable because you're a way above average hunter. Photos?
