    Default Any birds?

Didn’t go today but wondering if anyone had any luck this am (Saturday) with the cold and wind?

Took my dad, we didn’t hear a thing.

He looked back at me at 745 and said “let’s go”

I’m gonna go listen in the morning and try to find a bird for Monday

Gobbled and strutted all the way to the gun barrel. The 2 mile walk in wet hip boots wasn't much fun though.

You can say that again. Have a property that I know has several long beards. About a week ago they all disappeared but I Just saw 2 this afternoon by themselves. Hopefully they are ready to play in the morning.

Had some gobble on some WMA. One was roosted on the WMA 3 others on the creeks edge on some private land about 200 yards away. Guy on private land was calling at them all morning. No one pulled the trigger. Walked down was gonna fallow the creek a ways guy proceeds to tell me this is all private land, replied I know the line I'm not walking that way I'm headed down the creek..... No thats all private land.... Just shook my head and walked away... Was gonna introduce myself and talk turkeys. Before anyone says I walked in on him hunting he was walking around and doing hen calls up and down the creek.
“Duck hunting gives a man a chance to see the loneliest places …blinds washed by a rolling surf, blue and gold autumn marshes, …a rice field in the rain, flooded pin-oak forests or any remote river delta. In duck hunting the scene is as important as the shooting.” ~ Erwin Bauer, The Duck Hunter’s Bible, 1965
