    Default Refused to Connect

    This site can’t be reached
    drive.google.com refused to connect

I keep getting this error on a laptop for google drive and google docs. What gives? I've done everything I know to do. I have 4 laptops in the house with all settings, including proxy, seeming the same. But only one computer that will not connect. Any suggestions before I smash it with a sledge?

Anything that you can find by googling the issue, I've tried.

    Yes

I’ve cleared the browser cache, dns cache, firewall and anti virus off. All proxy settings off. Even tried a different Wi-Fi network. Uninstalled and reinstalled browser.

There is a stupid setting somewhere that I’m overlooking. I can get into all other things google like mail, contacts, pictures, etc but drive and docs will not connect.

Why not just use one of the other 3 computers that’s connecting to Google drive just fine?

Is the power cord connected to the wall? (Funny if you’ve ever called for support and gotten the initial Indian customer service rep)

No idea what the problem is. Like you I can usually google the problem and figure it out. Good luck.

    Just asking for clarification.

You’ve accessed Google drive on this computer in the past?

Is this computer on a domain or just a home computer?

Is the account you are logging into the computer on an admin acccount?

Wondering if it’s a permissions issue

Probably signed into the wrong google account on that PC. Logout from the Google account and then back in with the correct one. Google drive is not accessible across accounts unless the permissions have been set that way

I’ve signed out and back in. I can’t access drive on any of our accounts on this computer.

How are you trying to access it? Are you clicking the little '9 dots' thing up in the top corner then selecting 'Drive' or manually punching in 'drive.google.com'?

I got nothing then... have you emailed Google's customer support directly? Might be a known issue.

Update java, check your script blocker and add blocker permissions

Have you tried accessing google drive by simply typing google drive in the search box?

Have you shut your device completely down? Not rebooting, but shutting it down?

This is the only person so far in this thread that I've seen worth listening to.

He's kinda good at computer things from what I can tell.
