I'm no BASS expert, but from what I have observed, it is much more about the "procedure" side of catching bass than the "art" of it. Most of the pros are super obsessive and live and breath only bass fishing. Most people don't have the personality or drive to do what it takes to consistently catch fish. So my point is that if you were willing to sacrifice everything and only focus on bass fishing, you could probably be on tour. You may never be Kevin Van Dam or one of the top guys, but you could compete. I fully believe most everything regarding catching bass can be learned. That is not true for most other sports. For whatever reason, my arm can't throw a 95 mph fastball.

Considered it. I reached pro status in the late 90s whenever the helicopter lure went National, I just couldn’t bring myself to wear fingerless gloves and curl my hat brim to sharp point.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

meh....I disagree. God gave us all different skills gifts and talents. Some guys just have a God given instinct and were born with gills behind their ears. Just as some were born outdoorsmen....doesn't mean you can't put out a corn pile and shoot a good buck with a rifle.....We all know someone that was just born an outdoorsman

I totally agree. I'd just argue that the best true outdoorsman probably couldn't compete on the BASS tour as it's not necessarily the same gifts/talents

Last SCDUCKS fishing tournament I tried to make, my trailer came off of my truck, safety chains kept it together, boat somehow flipped over on the trailer, but everything survived. I was running 70mph down I-26 when it happened, it looked like a yard sale for about 60 yards behind where I stopped. This had to have been around 2007ish.

    RIP SCDUCKS Bream Fishing Tournament.

But if there was one I'd be inclined to go. Which week are you thinking about?

    Yes. Harmless, but nasty disposition.

Hell, if you can't catch fish surrounded by boats, you better not come to Santee Cooper in the spring
