No he said he still may not join if allowed. One can only hope he sticks to that.

The balance is, how to you allow Americans their first amendment rights on a global platform? Do you say that freedom of speech is a universal right and allow anyone in the world to say what they want to as long as it falls within some set rules?

Should there be any guidelines? It will definitely be interesting to see how he handles it.

They are mad now. The very thought of free speech has State Media, pissing themselves. A useless industry flailing to stay relevant with the freaks, because everyone with a brain quit even watching Fox and CNN, much less read a damn liberal newspaper...

The New York Times and FX announced on Monday that it will air an expose on Tesla founder Elon Musk, who is set to acquire all of Twitter for $43 billion, in May.

The documentary will feature Tesla, the electric car company founded by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning in 2003. The film, Elon Musk’s Crash Course, was directed by Emma Schwartz.

“Featuring the reporting from Cade Metz and Neal Boudette of The New York Times, the film will dive into how Tesla’s Autopilot program has resulted in several deaths that Musk and the company has yet to publicly acknowledge, and details Musk’s efforts to kill government investigations into the incidents,” according to Variety. “Several former Tesla employees will be featured in the documentary, speaking out against Musk for the first time.”

You still have to have some set of rules to govern what is allowable and what is not. It cannot be a free for all. The rules should apply to all equally. Twitter should not be the sanctifier of truth and disinformation in the conversation. Let people decide for them selves

I still can't believe so many people care about this like being ON twitter is something you HAVE to do.

Not on Twitter, never been on Twitter, and probably never will be on twitter but it is what is left of the public square these days. If the communist had not weaponized the platforms, it would not be an issue.

Seems like it should be a commie echo chamber then. Why participate and give them fuel for fire?

Simply ignore them and let them have their playground.

It also give conservatives a public place to express themselves without being ignored or misrepresented by the MSM. Historically the MSM has always been the sounding board for politics until the MSM started wanting to be a player and king maker after Regan. Hell they used to even report the news.

I've never twittered and don't care to tweet, I got enough stuff to do to stay busy. People should go to work and get lives instead of worrying about and getting up in everyone else's bidness.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

So conservatives can't make their own echo chamber?

    Again, nobody HAS to tweeter.

If you're on twitter you're either looking for confirmation bias, a fight or both. You aren't changing anyone's mind or revealing any great hidden secrets of freedom or communism. It's a piss bucket full of the remnants of the preceding pissing contest.

is free speech a conservative thing?

nobody has to eat meat, or tweet.

I have never been on the tweeter but if its going to allow everyone to speak freely, who doesnt want to watch that shitshow?

I am guessing that it won't be a shitshow. I think that the Left will do what conservatives won't as usual. They will stand behind their ideals, as fricked up as their ideals are, and make their own platform where they are safe to be fed socialism by the shovel full...
