    Default Bassmasters Classic

Classic finished up today. Jason Christie won. Brandon missed the day three cut so didn’t get to fish today. He had a terrible 1st day with 10+ lbs. and 17+ on day two. Wound up 34th. Said he should have easily made the cut and been in contention but lost some critical fish both days. But that happens to everyone sometimes, you just can’t let it happen with this competition or you’ll hardly ever recover. He did have big bass of the event a 6 lbs. 12 oz. Looks like Greenville and Anderson were winners also, set a record for attendance at 154,000+. I went to the Expo Friday and it was packed, Ark rods said they completely sold out of Brandon’s rods. I went to take off Friday morning and they said there was 3,100 people there for it, was crazy. Anyway, on to Santee next week for the next regular season event.

    That's an understatement.
“Duck hunting gives a man a chance to see the loneliest places …blinds washed by a rolling surf, blue and gold autumn marshes, …a rice field in the rain, flooded pin-oak forests or any remote river delta. In duck hunting the scene is as important as the shooting.” ~ Erwin Bauer, The Duck Hunter’s Bible, 1965

I saw where Brandon won big fish, congrats. I work on 24 and crossed the double bridges about 6:30 Fri morning and there were people everywhere. I heard they were turning people away at Green Pond because it was full.

We talked about going to the expo Sat but ended up taking some kids to ride motocross. Glad we didn't go t G'ville based on what I heard about the crowd. I had my fill of that at the Wildlife Expo a couple of weeks ago.

My son and I were on the dock after lunch today messing with the boat and Joey Nania fished our cove. When he went by our dock my son asked him how he was doing and he had just caught 3 back to back but they were small.
I had to google who he was but it was cool to see one of those guys go through.

Not, this time, being a smart add

I thought Brandon caught a 6-10 Friday or Saturday and then I saw someone weigh in a 6-11 on Sunday. Now I will go read the article you linked to and see how close I was.

Need to quote that. It's not often you see you own up to a mistake.

Oh hell, just saw this…..didn’t know that was your kid. On the bright side, since she doesn’t know who Hank Parker is I see no need to tell her it was Tater and not Hank Parker that signed her bucket.
