White or black plastic for drip system?

I have no idea on drip systems or “plastic mulch” but will be trying this year. What’s the diff in the colors? I have a roll of black landscape plastic but scared it will be too hot for the plants come summer. Any suggestions or input will greatly appreciated.

Not sure about color. My drip irrigation is black. I bought my drip supplies from here. The have a bunch of YouTube videos with good info.

I may not have worded it correctly. My drip line is black but the plastic that goes over the beds is my concern. I’ve seen white, red, black and various colors. I have a row maker and plan to lay the plastic 3’ wide

PM Chico. I don’t think he gets on to often. If you can’t get him shot me a pm. He should be able to help answer questions on the plastic. The best I remember he used the black for his first 2-3 plantings of the spring then switched to white once temperatures reached a certain point.

Black for early planting of summer veggies.
Red not clue why, but some say it promotes the fruiting stages.
White if late planting.
