The bluefin tuna season opened this morning with a couple of hundred boats fishing out of Beaufort Inlet. The Ocean Isle Beach boats all caught a fish and one was a giant.

Hopefully I'll be up there next Monday to get in on the action. Maybe Hammers will buy me a beer?

That's a sobering story, and that sucks. No matter how you guys like to handle your tuna ----be CAREFUL.

Fish, we talked last night about moving the boat but i doubt it will happen. My oldest brother and boat owner has got fish lazy and duck crazy and that don't bother me i would rather shoot ducks anyway. Then again he could move it today I never know It all depends on if he wants to catch a bluefin. If we are up that way i will let you know I'd love no more that to sit down had pop-a-top with ya.

Wow, that is sad and stupid all at the same time. Fishing for bluefins by your lonesome is pretty silly but consider for a moment the danger of being in a boat coastwise and beyond alone. If you fall out of the boat you're done. I have moved a few boats by myself before and its sketchy running offshore alone. Then again I know quite a few delivery captains and some of them love running without a mate. Its dangerous.

Hammers, if the planets align and we end up on the same dock...I'm buyin.

Think this guy is related to that murdering poacher in MN? With a name like Ng I am guessing he is not your standard red-blooded backyard american.
Commercial fisherman or not this guy must not have been much of a sailor to break the first rule afloat... stay out of the damn lines
