Fished again today in 150-200'; slick as glass. Me and MCMARINE took our womenfolk today, and they learned very quickly. Caught several grouper each. Wanted to come in early because of the heat though, so we left the fish biting. Lull in the bite today from 11-1PM for whatever reason had me afraid that it was too calm (seriously) for the fish to bite. They cut back on and we got 2 or 3 more scamp before heading back towards the hill right before 3.

    Brought home:
    12 scamp
    1 strawberry
    4 bucket liners
    4 silver/pinkie/snappered porgies

    Thanks for the trip MCMARINE!

Will moray eels succumb to the "X on the dock" trick??
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

We catch one about every 3rd trip. I have a good mind to fry up the next one. They've got to taste good.

Turd, tell me how to skin them right.

We caught a spotted moray, (not sure if that is the correct name) way back in HS he was about 15" long, I put him in a bucket and carried him home. At the time I had a salt water tank that I had full of species from the local salt marshes. (baby grouper/remoras/BSB/etc...)I put him in with the rest of them and he had a blast eating everything I had in the tank. It pissed me off at first but the little shit was SMART! So smart, when he was done eating everything I had in the tank, he crawled out looknig for more. He wasnt smart enough to crawl back in though. Made a mess where he ended up...I had no idea those critters could slime so much.

The small spotted morays are on about every piece of rock offshore of charleston, but I've only seen about 2 green ones in my short diving career (2 years) in charleston.
