    I've got a few thoughts for you. You may spend several days in Florida waiting on a decent crossing. Don't even think about it with any sort of north wind.

    Highly recommend having your crew on standby, take the boat across and fly them to you. Same thing going home. You are asking for it if you think you'll get two weather windows in a row.

    If you are only going for a day or two or 3, just day trip it from Stuart. Check in at west end is fast and US customs is an app on your phone.

    If you plan to stay in the bahamas, check in at west end and get fuel. I guarantee you'll burn close to double what you think getting there. Get customs forms filled out ahead of time. You need a Q flag and bahamian flag.

    Then haul ass to Spanish wells or Great Harbour.

    Typical east swell can be somewhat avoided by hiding behind the bight of abaco as long as possible.

    Bring beer. Its $4 for a beer in the bahamas whether you buy 1 or 24.
