Heading to work this morning and saw a running doe in the edge of my high beams, hit the brakes and stopped, she crossed 30' in front of me, saw more movement and a damn fine 8 crossed on her trail.

Saw a ton of fresh scrapes and rubs on a tract I surveyed last week. Always see a few but this was peak rut type activity.

I see almost as many rubs and scrapes this time of year as I do in November

I wouldn't hunt. However It might would push back the squirrel hunters some. Tired of seeing squirrel hunting tik toks
