Default I Got The Itch

For probably the last 10 to 15 years I have been hunting with composite stock rifles
Mostly Brownings and Tikka, all great with zero complaints.
I grew up with nice quality wood stock guns, A5 Belgium Brownings, high end double barrels, rifles, etc.
I love a pretty walnut or such wood gun and have the itch for a new deer rifle (picked up another lease yesterday).
I also like lightweight stuff, been shooting the Tikka Superlite for the last few years
I have always wanted a Winchester Model 70 Featherweight Pre-64
Their new stuff looks sweet, the Model 70 Featherweight Deluxe comes in 7mm-08
Thinking about ordering it in .270 or 7mm-08.
Also like some Browning Medallion stuff
Any others?

Love my browning x bolt medallion. I bought because I figured why look at an ugly gun while sitting 3 hours in a deer stand. I have composites but it’s my go to for sure. If you like Brownings, don’t think you’ll regret buying it. It is a tad heavier than the composites but nothing that bothers me.

My first bolt rifle was a Model 70 featherweight in .270. It was like my ex-girlfriend, beautiful but would hurt you. It kicked like a pissed off mule.

Crazy to think that none of these have hit the trading post this year. I’ve been wanting to by a nice wooden stocked 7mm-08 for awhile but not enough to buy new.

Sako or Cooper. The Sako 85 Bavarian is what you need to get your hands on.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I do like the new model 70 featherweights a lot, nothing wrong with the pre 64's, push feed, or crf classics either.
Reloaders love a good piece of brass
Not only did Samuel colt make all men equal.....He also made it easier for me to sleep well at
night

Buy a Boyds Laminated Thumbhole Stock for whatever your Favorite Deer Rifle is. These are beautiful, almost a Bolt On change(minus bedding it), and you get out for under $200, got 3-4 I can show you.

I’ve had a new Model 70 Featherweight for a few years now. I like it.
