    Default Fun Little Goose Hunt

Son and I put a little dent in the upstate goose population this morning before work.

That’s an ass of meat. What is your plan for those scrumptious vittles?

Not sure what he did with them. Usually try to give them away. If anyone on here wants goose meat in the future let me know.

Just because we don't eat it doesn't mean someone else isn't. We have just been giving it away to folks that will eat those nasty critters.

If you want to talk about eating what you kill, then yeah, they should be in the same category. A bird ain't no different than any other animal or living creature. You can personally have some moral hierarchy of wildlife, but the truth is that they are all the same. From lions to fire ants all living creatures have a place in the food chain.

If you don’t like ducks and geese don’t eat them. They are some fine eating if you know the proper way to dress and cook. I like ‘em just don’t have them any more. I don’t eat mergansers and divers and didn’t shoot them either. Mallards, pintails, and woodies eat just fine.

Didn't mean to stir it up with this post. All geese were given away to somebody that will eat them.
