Pitchers and Catchers report on Feb 14,2002.

Thank the Lord. I don't watch Pro Football or Bassaball.

Players took speed [and later coke] to get an advantage on the field for perhaps 50 or 60 years before they were banned, long before anyone lifted weights or took 'roids. I find the stance the writers/voters are taking to be hypocritical.

Those guys single handedly saved baseball after the strikes and this is how they get treated? Then the whole Astros thing, and it goes completely unpunished?

    Oh the hypocrisy.

Get Charlie Hustle in, then Bonds and Clemens, then Sosa, etc etc.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

The BBWAA can't vote on Rose. He is not on the ballot. He has been "barred for life" from baseball. I personally believe that the writes association would elect him first go around if he was on the ballot. Bonds and Clemmons would already be in if they would have come clean when told to do so. Both are A-1 prime assholes! Bonds wore enough armor to joust. That alone shrunk his strike zone by a third.

Kendall Baker's tweet from 4 days ago sums it up.
    David Ortiz's career OBP .380
Barry Bonds' career OBP if all 762 hrs were out .384.

Panther, yes the Comish of MLB would have to unban Pete, not on few writers' wheelhouse. And that needs to happen so they can induct him while he's alive.

Oh I certainly agree. Bonds and Clemmons should be Roses biggest fans. They have almost no shot as long as he is alive and not in the Hall. If Sosa is ever inducted, they may as well close the Hall down. Would be an empty honor at that point.

Its very sad Pete will be dead long before he's instated in the HOF, dang shame.

I wish I could breathe life back in him, if I could I'd hunt him again tomorrow. - Ben Rodgers Lee

Friend that played and coaches in MLB told me MLB told Pete he had to apologize and then he could come back in baseball after being out a certain time period and have a chance to get in. He’s so damn cocky he refused to do it. At least that’s what he said. Biggest problem is letting writers decide. Most of those losers never played. Fans and coaches should vote period. Those guys discussed above are part of the history of the game whether you agree with what they did or not. They should be in.
