Nothing better than proper creamy grits with s&p and some good butter...

Is one brand of stone-ground better than another? Is there really a difference?

I use heavy cream and butter instead of water when making grits for my Shrimp N Grits. If it’s breakfast or just fried fish and slaw I’ll back down to water or milk. The thought of sugar in my grits turns my stomach, gross.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I have never even heard of anyone putting sugar on or in grits.

Four ways to eat grits, With butter, with sawmill gravey, with shrimp, and mix in with sunny side up eggs. Children eat them with butter and sugar.

I’ve put syrup on eggs and also on grits. It’s great

Who cares! Most of the time just butter and salt on grits.

Yellow stone ground, with chicken broth instead of water, smoothed out with heavy cream
Fresh cracked pepper, shrimp and crumbled bacon on top, some chopped green onions if I have em
may make some gravy from the shrimp and bacon drippins and drizzle over it all
