    Default Sweet Grits?

Is the addition of sugar and/or sweetening agents an acceptable way to eat grits, particularly down here, or am I speaking pure sacrilege even bringing it up?

Decent, godfearing people do not put sugar in their cornbread or their grits

For what it's worth, DC, the wife warned me not to start this conversation. Your first post is proof of that.

It’s alright, Bart. Navigating the culinary world requires that we ask some difficult and awkward questions.

There's not a bad way to fix grits ,or corn bread either, for that matter. If there is a bad way I haven't found it yet.

Thank you for the support. That being said, ketchup is EASILY more egregious than sugar or cinnamon. No question.

Anyone for buttermilk, cornbread and onion mixed together? Grandfather on wife's side used to swear by it.

Watched a guy put syrup on his grits once. He never got invited to hunt again.
