    Give me a pirogue, this pup and a duck marsh and I'm in Heaven. My hunting partner has picked up 140 + ducks so far this season with one of the longest water retrieves I've ever witnessed on a Grey duck that I sailed 100's of yards from the boat. The cell phone video is crazy cool.

    Glad this thread was started. It puts things in perspective for me at least. At first my thought was how truly abysmal the season has been. From holes that has produced the past 10 years to not even shooting the gun in those same holes. But.....then I look thru the pics of dads with there young kids and it makes me realize that's it's the "hunt" that we will remember and talk about. Not so much of the "killing". My youngest child and only son is now in college. The trips and memories I have made with him is priceless. Whether it was falling in a hole up to your neck, or sliding down a steep ramp when the water was really low, or taking one of his buddies from church on his first hunt....that kid shot three times at one on the water 40 yards and never broke a feather.
    I'm just thankful that God gave us a creation to enjoy with the ones we love and care about most.
