After talking a lot of smack about offshore fishing with FISH the other day, I finally decided to put up the trolling motor and cricket cage to go dump an 80 in the big blue.

Thanks to OSD and Nutz, I made my first real offshore adventure on 6/18.

Left charleston at 5:00 am and headed for the ledge. passed the Edisto buoy and dropped lines and caught a nice wahoo. followed that over the next couple of hours with some nice dolphin. took a nap during some of the rain storms and headed out towards the 226. (am i the king of this offshore lingo, or what?)

anyway, tagged a couple of dolphin since we had one in the bag. nice to see these guys do their thing and protect the resource. i have to admit that i understand the draw. its a pretty intense sport with episodes of down time to get your adrenaline back in check. i liked watching osd and nutz get all worked up when the wahoo made his appearance.

thanks OSD and Mr OSD and Nutz for taking a newbie out. I am just happy i didn't get seasick and ruin y'alls good time!

Let's do it again some time!
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.

we did hug a lot.

i think that's why Nutz like offshore so much...its all in the "closeness" he gets with his fellow fishermen.

Enjoyed the hell out of it myself. The seas cooperated, just wish the rain would have left us alone. Sounds like a lot of guys that were South of us got caught in some nasty lightning storms.
We will definately do it again real soon. Have you eaten any of the wahoo yet?

Dukmon,
When are you going to share some of your fishing secrets??
