    Default 20 ga shooters

I am shooting my 20 ga more and more. Currently shooting 7/8 oz #2 steel at 1550 fps. I see Faststeel makes a 1 oz load at 1350 fps. Who has has shot both and which do you prefer? Thanks

    Why #2?
It's not enough to simply tolerate the 2nd Amendment as an antiquated inconvenience. Caring for the 2nd Amendment means fighting to restore long lost rights.

Back when I actually duckhunted and killed a fair amount of birds, my gun REALLY liked the 1oz of federal #2 at like 1350fps. I never had much of the 7/8oz loads that were moving faster pattern as good. It really didn’t like xperts or faststeel. But those 1oz loads killed a pile of birds.

I've been using Boss 3" #5s. Would have gotten 3s but they were back ordered. 1-1/8 oz at 1350fps. They are awesome and seem to hit pretty hard.

Shot Kent 1 Oz #4s for years. Was the best patterning load out of my Berettas

ETA: This was for decoying ducks...there was no need for high velocity

I got a 20ga and 3 cases of Hevi-x as a package deal a few years back. I have 2’s, 4’s, and 6’s. For decoying ducks or a wood duck shoot those 6’s are the ticket. One of my buddies has been hand loading some experimental shells for turkey as well as ducks/geese. 2.75” 1oz mix of tungsten 2/7’s, and they ain’t no joke. I wish I could get him to roll me a couple boxes, but with the cost of things right now, they’d be $200/box. Lol

People that refer to duck hunting as wingshooting are like people who play Kirkland golf balls!

I like the heavier slower loads in 12 and 20

I ordered a case at the end of last season. Will be putting them into service starting Monday

End up in my yard all the time- slightly resemble the old late 90’s vintage Maxfli Revolutions. I’d still consider it a faux pas to show up to the Wednesday four- ball with a sleeve

I found my first one during my Wednesday lunch round.. I threw it back towards the edge of the fairway for maybe a kid to find.

Since my yard collects pushes and slices, more of them show up than any other ball.

My yard is right side of fairway from about 200-275 yards off the tee. Horrible spot to be in!

One of the more surprising things I’ve seen you type out before…especially you being a Camdenite and all.
