I'm not a big fan of anyone making a living off of a public wildlife resource. That goes for hunting, fishing, and anything else you can throw in there.

Are guides exploiting public land any worse than the folks with leases/family land using public land just so they can hunt the hell out of a resource that they treat as precious as their balls on their own land. They say things like:
"I wouldn't have shot this buck [or doe] at home, but it's public."
"I only hunt WMA to fill my last two turkey tags. And guide for a couple of my friends to fill a tag."
"I wouldn't crowd other hunters like I'm doing for those ducks/doves but it's public..."
I don't recommend regulation or rules to prevent these folks from hunting public land, mind you, but I think they "exploit" public land and water as bad as any guide business.
Not trying to pick a fight, but just food for thought.
No.
No guided hunt in Minnesota was the last straw.
Low country redneck who moved north
My wife tells me I don’t work out enough.
But she’s never been there to see my cardio routine when the west winds blow the tide out faster than I predicted.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
Is this specific to public land (WMA) or meant to include public waters as well?
Saltwater fishing guides... Raping an estuary near you!
Show us on the doll where the fishing guide touched you.
If you’re in the know you know
Damn deleted your post I’m not getting on you’re business more power to ya. If you’re a decent guide you know the Charleston/Georgetown region is inundated with so called guides. It’s the difference in a comeyah and a binyah and I suppose in an Binyah!
I dont know a whole lot abt public land hunting, but i would hope 90% guides would be able to teach the people they are taking how to properly hunt public land... but yall could be right in them claiming spots and all when they are trying to make money AND kill ducks. both sides of it have pros and cons
No, WMA's should be for public recreational use and not public "commercial" use
