    Default Drill Bit removal

I went to my shed to grab my Dewalt drill which hadn’t been used in several months only to find the drill bit is stuck. Any secret to get them out? I’m thinking it’s rusted inside.

    I’ll try the PB Blaster.

Unfortunately it does not have a key.

Kroil if you can find it.

Otherwise, PB Blaster and apply heat to bit only.
Honey...I'll do it after the season is over.

Pipe wrench and PB. If the chuck is rusted inside, it’ll be worthless anyway, replacements are not very expensive and easy to swap out.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Put the chuck in the vice, just right tight, and trigger the reverse

I can make it torque out (or whatever it’s called when it’s just spins and makes that noise) by holding it with my hand. Not sure a vice would be any different.

My guess is the chuck is stripped out. I had it happen to an 18v Dewalt.

If it's "just spinning and making that noise" then that sounds like you haven't got the torque collar cranked all the way down. If that's the case, you definitely need your husband's help.

That was with the torque collar cranked down all the way. Took it to a shop this afternoon and the thing is stripped.
