Damn we are getting old. But it sure beats the alternative. 3 years for me. Last years resolution to eschew sugar and carbs was much easier than I thought. Once I added carbonated anything to the list, gout and arthritis ceased completely. All the triggers like shrimp, turkey, DUCK, whatever- gone. Down to one blood clot medicine from 5 scripts this time last year. I consider everything every rheumatologist has told me over the last 30 years to be flat wrong. Almost like they wanted to sell more meds or something...

Nice, awesome and we are.. I'm fighting the heck out of it though. I went for way tooo long thinking I was a cyborg or something. I know I'm in my best shape in like twenty years.. my mid twentys I was like a robot though. Zero medicine here, well I do have one. One that I'll take to sleep occasionally. I went through a couple few working on that.. I was given a blood pressure medicine, Dr was trying to slow me down even though mine was 105 over 80ish normal, no meds.. I was a walking zombie for those two weeks, and got rid of it. I'll go through bouts of that still. I'm keeping bubbly water as well.

The gym was about as crowded as usual this morning. Either the weather put the resolutioners on hold for 24 hours or people have just given up on self improvement all together. Usually the first 3-6 weeks of January is pretty crowded. Me think folks have just given up.

HS if you figure out how to train employees let me know what works. I could certainly use the help. I've got 2 decent ones right now but need a 3rd something fierce

I've got enough weights for myself at the house.. and I see enough faces.

It's weird the most motivational piece I got was a text from Gbelly earlier in the year, Phil Mickelson's regime. I'm not getting all nerdy and counting things, I'm just not made that way.

I've been at it for a while.. Myself and I'd say most businesses go through the same pain. I basically keep an extra person on staff.. or have for a couple of years to get through all of the problems we're facing.

Only thing that gets in my way in my home gym are 2 dogs and 2 cats. Cats tend to sit on the bench when I get up to replace the dumbbells, and dogs just generally get in my space. I tell them to go lay down and they listen. Except the cats, they ignore me.

Not in any particular order, lose about 30lbs, buy more investment properties, buy property out west and consolidate most of my hunting to that area, keep growing my business, work on being more patient, read more, travel with family more for both hunting and relaxing.

    In no particular order:

    - Run 10 miles

    - Achieve and maintain a bodyweight below 200

    - Squat with a barbell again

    - Shoot a turkey with the bow

    - Catch a bream or 3 with my little girl

    - Be a better husband, father, and friend

    - Find/cultivate a group of godly men to hang out, study with, and rely on

My old Lab thinks I'm fine just the way I am.

    I agree with her.

I don't make New Year's resolutions. If I see something about myself that needs to change I go ahead and start then.

Tough business for a desk man like myself. But if I park the truck far enough away..
