    I’ll start with mine….

    1) Eat too much

Two that I kpet all year, in fact one that I still do:

    1. Do not accept any pennies as change (still do)
    2. Read one chapter of the Gospel of John each day. This is not an easy book to read. A friend died and he always said that if you could only read one book it should be John. You end up reading it about 15 times through because it is only 21 chapters. You know the author is serious because this is the last line of the book:

    John 21:25

25 Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.

    Happy New Year. MG

I hope to be down to about 250 this time a year from now. Got down to 287 then deer season started, and Halloween , and thanksgiving and Christmas and all the other bs I'm gonna blame my lack of willpower on. Back up to about 294 now.

We're pretty-much in the same boat, almost exactly.

    1. Lose 50lbs by June 1st - Up to 252 as of last Friday. Most I've ever weighed and I'm tired of feeling like shit.
    2. Workouts start today.
    3. Drink less - Seems over the holidays I went from a couple bourbons a week to a couple a night. I grilled / smoked a lot of stuff on the egg during the holidays and that seems to be my main trigger. Gonna start cooking without it.
    4. Buy a piece of land and build my first house. Owned a couple, just never had one built. Hopefully I can stay married through this process.
    5. Grow my business - Started a medical supply company 2 years ago and we've done pretty well, obviously Covid helped. We have some huge opportunities this year that non Covid related and I'm excited about what this can do for us.
    6. Kill a Black Duck - Headed out later this week with my son to meet up with one of his buddies that lives in an area with a fair amount of them. Hoping to close the deal on one.

    Lose 30#
    Fish more
    Hunt more
    Work less
Host at least 4 families for Emily’s House.

4 of 5 are achievable if I work less.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I've put forth some concerted effort to increase my self awareness, especially regarding my flaws, which has led me to make some changes in an effort to become a better version of me. Seems like not many humans are very self aware and therefore overlook their own shortfalls yet are quick to call others out on theirs. I'm trying not to be "that guy".

    1. Be more consistent on my work outs. I'd like to gain the weight y'all are planning to lose, just in muscle. Find myself starting to get the dad bod during quarantine and had to make some changes. Got a new monkeyfoot thingy for Christmas, which is gonna help change leg day forever!

    2. Be more organized. We keep a calendar for the family stuff, but I mean both my personal and work stuff. My old boss told me if you don't put it on your calendar, the likelihood you'll actually do it during the work day can be thin. This will be difficult for me as I've always been the opposite of a planner. I fly by the seat of my pants. So putting things on the calendar and sticking to it will be a challenge for me. This also includes daily stuff, like running in the morning a few days a week and allocating dedicated times in the evenings after the kids go to bed to lift, and stick both of them, no excuses.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

    1. Lose 10# by staying active. Everything is starting to hurt and it makes me sit around more.
    2. Be nicer.
    3. Work through projects at work and at home quicker.

It’s all about small goals. That way they’re easy to accomplish, but if you don’t who cares it was just a small goal anyway.

But seriously, start running again, shoot and fish more.

What's your secret? That amount of fitness and power has an extreme catabolic effect. How are you ingesting enough protein to be so strong and fast? Hats off to you, however you're doing it.
