    Default Charlotte

I’m looking at gadwall and shovelers in ponds around Concord Mills.

Go behind the Jimmy Johns across the street if you want to see the motherload. The swamp between that strip mall and the apartment complex will make your jaw drop

Yeah, Bart, your reaction to concord mills is my general overview of mecklenburg county. Everything about Charlotte sucks.

Only a handful of mallards in that swamp behind Jimmy John’s.

I drive past there taking my kids to school. I stopped back there last week as the sun was coming up and watched 4 dozen birds pile in.

Most of the farm ponds and retention ponds around Charlotte have ducks and geese.

To your point, a couple days ago my indicator pond in Hendersonville loaded with mallards. No weather. The opposite, really. Ducks...

It’s as if they known it’s coming and bailed out of Kentucky two days in advance.
