    Default Betty White, Golden Retrievers

I’m sure this lady wasn’t perfect… But she was right about dogs.

“Once someone has had the good fortune to share a true love affair with a Golden Retriever, one’s life and one’s outlook is never quite the same.” –Betty White

Here is me with my first golden “Buddy” back around 1990. His chain rests on my fly tying desk, and I’ll be taking my 11 year old golden hunting tomorrow.

Great dogs! We’ve had nine since 1992, eight being adopted rescues.

    Dr. Duck, check your PM’s.

Here were the two Goldens that introduced us to the breed. They have the same parents, with the litters three years apart, and the female on the right being the older sister. They were fantastic dogs, quick learners, and I miss them both every day. She was our first adoption from a neighbor, and I got the male as a puppy when we found out who bred her.
