    Default Livescope trip

My 10 year old has quickly picked up the livescope fishing for crappie. Casting jigs to fish and watching them eat it is absolutely awesome. We were 5 short of a three man limit. We fished from 815am-115pm.

    Good stuff!

Would you say you use live scope as a fish locating tool or to dial in fish on a known spot?

Both. We are actively targeting open water fish.

Friend and neighbor of mine is a boat manufacturer and was testing the live scope thing a couple years ago, it looked like playing a video game to catch fish. Crazy technology.
Listen to your elders. Not because they are always right but because they have more experiences of being wrong.

That’s exactly what it is. I wish I could post a video of him doing it. I am not that technically savvy though.

Forward facing sonar is a tricky beast. It works fantastic for catching crappie and is fairly decent for bass as well. The trick with using it bass fishing is to not get too invested in the fish that you see. You can waste an entire tournament day staring at fish that have lockjaw and end up without a limit!! Ask me how I know!!! LOL
Living in Moncks Corner but looking forward to moving back to the West Coast in 2020 where there are more ducks and less duck hunters!! LOL

Mine is on a separate shaft. I tried it that way but it's not very effective.IMG_20210622_150810844_HDR.jpg
