Looking to purchase a new hedge trimmer. Not sure if I want to go with a gas or a rechargeable one. I have lots of bushes to trim so I'm hesitant to go with a rechargeable trimmer. What do you guys recommend?

All the messicans I see around Charlotte use shindaiwa, so that what I bought for myself. Zero hiccups the 2x per year they get used. I believe echoX line is the exact same thing. Only downside is they are heavy, so the nod there would likely go to a battery powered unit. I’m waiting until
Gen2 of the dewalt trimmers come out, then I’ll likely grab one if they feel beefy enough. I have an ass of 6ah dewalt 20v batteries already
If you see a landscape crew out doing work just take a peek at their trailer and see what they’re running.
Shindiawa or red max. Best in the business.

I’ve got Stihl and used them both personally and commercially years ago and never had any problems
Adding if you want to borrow mine just to see let me know

Gas - Stihl
Battery - EGO
I have not touched my gas powered one since I purchased the ego.
