    Default Saluda Shoals Park

Has anyone ever launched a boat there? I can't determine from what I've read whether its kayak / canoes only or trailer boats too.

There are two ramps. Upper ramp will allow you to access Sandy Beach. If you can get through those shoals you'll be able to get up to the cable barrier that blocks the river at the tailrace of the dam. I use the lower ramp to access the area between I-20 and Corley Island. I have not tried to pass the shoals at Corley Island.

A lot can go wrong in thick fog and fast fluctuating water there…

I found a 6 hp motor that got knocked off in those shoals. Cleaned it up, and it gets resold on here every year or two for twice what I sold it for.
