    Could have been a simple mistake on his part. I have a damn good processor and they screwed up like that last year.

    Dang, that's really jumped the last few years. But, then, with ground beef running upwards of $6-$8/lb, venison is still cheaper.

    2k rifle, 2k scope, stands , camo clothes, UTV, ATV, gas, corn, trail cameras and don’t forget your time.
    Plus if shoot 12 deer a year at roughly $120 a deer to process.
    That’s a bunch of trips to Logan’s steakhouse

    Backstrap should be labelled "backstrap" or "loin", not tenderloin. 2 different things. I was thinking the same thing as Glenn as far as what was in the packages, but a 118lb doe should have more backstrap than that. You got hosed, and incorrect labelling, and vintage-style packaging. And for the record, cubing backstrap is a sin.

    I paid $122 a few weeks ago for 54 pounds of sausage, your price is about in line with what my guy charged.

    I was just wondering if the op weighed his deer before he brought it to us to get 118# because we don’t weigh any deer brought in. Just a thought!
