Shrimpin....Who went????

Lets hear how ya'll boys did. me and some buddies went friday night caught a limit in just under 3 hours. 3/4 cooler was large and about 1/4 was medium.

I went Friday. The guy w/ me had never been. We coolered out pretty quick. Decided to go for the 29 quart limit and popped heads for a couple of hours. Musta drank too much 'cause the last two runs only netted about 1/4 of a cooler. Ended up w/ 26 quarts headed. Mostly mediums w/ a few large and smalls.

Saw over 20 gators. Several large ones and one charged the boat after I threw a shrimp head at him.

stayed in fairly deep h2o,fought some rough waves but ended up with almost 48qts headed in 3 trips,alljumbos and large !shallow h2o only produced very mixed small shrimp.it was hit and miss.

Spent the weekend at Bull's Bay camping. We fished, tried to gig, and sprimped. We did okay on 2 of the 3. The fishing was good, several keeper spottails, a flounder, a few trout and many break offs around the oyster banks. The sprimpimg was okay not great. Got a fairly easy limit on Friday afternoon but very mixed small,medium and a few large. Saturday, changed locations and got medium to large but only a half cooler with alot more passes. What we were seeing at the campground was mixed over all with some areas producing larger mixes than others. Gigging was a waste, murky water and lack of the flat fish. We did manage 8 flounder and 1 spottail.
The wind blew, the bay was choppy but you could manage.
