New hoyts released today. The carbon riser model got a complete overhaul from last year. I haven’t put one in the hand yet, but from the reviews I’ve seen it is light years better than the carbon of years prior. I have no interest in a carbon riser bow, and I think the cost to shave 3/10 of a pound is absurd, but to each their own. It’s cool to see what they’re doing with carbon. The aluminum rigs just got some light tweaking from last year. Most notably they moved the cams left (on a RH bow) so your sight picture is wide and clear. Didn’t seem like a big deal until I shot it outside, it’s a welcomed change. The picatiny site mount from hoyt is far better than the bridge lock sight mount from Mathews after tinkering with both. No new color or camo from hoyt this year which was surprising. For the second year in a row I think hoyt has a winner in the ventum 33. I really like their binary cams and their adjustable let off system is nice and simple.
