Age?

I think we’ve had photos of this guy last few years. Rack seems to go down each year. No one on the property (2000 acres) has been able to put eyes on him. He had both eyes last year. How old you reckon he is?

I'll say older than 5. After that it's really a guessing game unless you send his teeth off to a lab

Hard to say with that neck swollen up like that but an easy 4.5 -5 year old. Healthy looking deer (minus the eye), no sway back, etc. so I would doubt if he's much older than 5.

That deer is old. Look at the pot belly on that thing and the curve in his back. Over 4.5 is hard in a picture. So I say 4.5+.
