.
80-20 Genaration
I planted a fall mix last October which it turns out included quite a bit of clover which is about10-12' high amongst wheat oats and winter peas which are about24" tall. My question is can I mow the plot and expect that the wheat and oats will die off leaving the clover to survive?
I have a photo in an email but am unable to attach it to this message.
yes
but some people say not to mow clover any more. the wheat and oats will die on their own because of summer.
I'd still mow it because I like to and its pretty.
but be sure to watch glenn's video before you do anything.
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.

You guys who plant turnips and radish are hogs not rooting them up? They are bad enough on grain plots but have been Leary on planting root crops.

Thanks for all the help
Also I was thinking if I mowed that the thatch produced by mowing would shade out any weeds, kind of like "sow and mow" but am concerned it might smother the clover as well.

Thanks, I think I'll mow it. The photo above posted by Palmetto bug is the field in question.
