Not much of a 'tactical" guy myself but want to buy
a light as a gift for someone that will mount on their Glock 19
Recommendations? $100 - $300 budget
Thanks

Surefire X300 or Streamlight TRL. Carried both and no issues with either.

The TLR-1 or TLR-1 HL are tops for the money for a full size light. Or, if you want one more compact, look at the TLR-7’s.
Night Stick also makes near identical ones, but the controls work a little differently.

Tlr 7. Fits the 19 perfectly
Tlr 7a is pretty slick
Always liked the surefire xc1, but there are brighter lights for much less.
Biggest problem is finding a holster that is molded to fit with the light
Never confuse enthusiasm for capability
TLR-7a. To hell with the rocker switch on the earlier streamlight models

TLR-7A = good ambidextrous switch, 500 lumens
TLR-1HL = rocker switch, 1000 lumens
TLR-7 is better scaled, TLR-1 is more powerful.

Thanks everyone, I will look at each of these on-line after dinner and order one
Nightstick TCM-550XL
Also check out Tenicor for holsters, can use same holster even if you remove the light

Streamlight TLR7A if it’s going on a carry gun, otherwise TLR-1 HL.
I like JM custom kydex holsters and carry with a tlr7 everyday.
