    Default Edisto over Thanksgiving

School me on the crowd? Family's from SC and GA or tourists?

Haven't been since family sold the house a few years ago and never been at Thanksgiving.

Also, how is fishing this time of year(surf)? Any trout still cruising the surf? I am assuming some nice reds still this time of year.

You may still find one but most your big reds are out.

Focus on fishing the creeks around low tide.

Nearshore structure may still hold some large ones which is out of reach for surf but possibly reachable by kayak as their is some rocks not far off, historical this week has been my best for the bigs ones. A lot of that probably I happen to fish them in fall as up until late October prefer the shallow ones.

Crowd won't be bad. It was empty last week. Grocery store will still probably be crowded and picked over if you're planning on buying everything there. We'll be down there.

I'm headed down tomorrow. I wouldn't say it'll be empty, but it will be close.

Already got the groceries as I figured it would be slim pickings by the time we got there.

Caught a few trout at sundown yesterday. it was the first time I've really been since the spring. The Island is by no means empty but it's not 4th of July week. The restaurant was full last night.
