It's worked for many years but as habit changes along with timber types I was thinking of changing it up. I also plant 2.5 acres of food plots on the 36 acres as well.
I plant 6 acres around my house- variety of things, deer eat it up, we have counted 28 at 1 time out the windows and I had 18 in view of my west stand earlier this year.

Right now-we are having a massive acorn drop

The number one thing most just don’t get. They think they can buy some magic spray and hunt a stand no matter what the wind direction.

Well never even thought about corn pile to acre ratio lol. Got one stand with corn and the rest is on trails. Don't over think it. Hunt and enjoy. Throw out corn where you want something will eat it or don't and scout hunt trails make good plots it's a deer. They gonna deer.
“Duck hunting gives a man a chance to see the loneliest places …blinds washed by a rolling surf, blue and gold autumn marshes, …a rice field in the rain, flooded pin-oak forests or any remote river delta. In duck hunting the scene is as important as the shooting.” ~ Erwin Bauer, The Duck Hunter’s Bible, 1965

It doesn't take much for the train to fall off the tracks with this crew. I'm not over thinking how to kill a deer or need advice on how to kill one. I was just curious to see if there was any trend/consensus among the group of the # of bait piles to tract size. Happy Thanksgiving
