    Default Tilt Trim oil reservoir

Got a 2005 40hp tohatsu. Having oil on the ram rod every time it trims. Figured the seal needs to be replaced. Got the parts. Figured I would ask before hand. Anything in particular before taking that apart and ram rod out and replacing or any tricks to bleeding the air out when refilling?

YouTube is your friend on this job. Hopefully you'd be able to find someone who's posted a video on it.

I fixed it already. No YouTube. Just took it apart. Cleaned it up, replaced the seals, filled it back and no leaks so far!

Good deal. I know how unnerving it is to tear into something like that without having any guidance. Sometimes you just gotta wing it.

    Glad ya got it fixed.
