    Default New Property Deer Population

After about 10 months into the new lease, I have come to 2 conclusions……there are a lot of deer and I think we have way too many does. Defiantly have some bucks on camera but just haven’t seen the rut activity I have expected. My first inclination is to start thinning the doe herd. Lease is approximately 600+- acres and have only taken 3 does thus far only because wanted to minimize pressure during the rut.

I don’t believe the property was hunted last year. Just trying to figure out if the last lease holders blasted anything with horns or we just truly have way too many does and the bucks don’t have to travel. Most stands are like the pic below.

Is your property located in a county? If so, which one?

I think everyone wants to know what area the lease is located in Bobby?

Defiant bucks are a real problem.
