Great trip and story, Jake. Having the family along is awesome. Laid up waiting out the rain with mine now before heading back out. Congrats. Well earned indeed.

Awesome trip Jake, good job on those young'uns.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Truth! I probably would have never considered leaving SC or the SE had I not become good friends with my Bud from Ohio. One trip there watching deer walking through the woods not staring up into the trees every third step and seeing more bigger bucks from the stand in 5 days than I ever saw in the woods or dead on a tailgate in 30 years of hard hunting flat ruined SE deer hunting for me.

Great story Led! You just highlighted a silver lining to the possible brewing-storm of kids being mandated to take the vax. The only thing my kids might not be able to do if they somehow mandate this from DC is attend public school.

Congrats on the damn fine hunt and hammer buck, and most of all…congrats on where you and your family are in your lives! Y’all clearly have it together my man!

This is the coolest thread here in a while. I think it is awesome that you took your family on this adventure.

When I first saw the pics I thought you had killed a really nice Midwestern buck. Those latest pics let me know that I completely underestimated the deer. What a freaking buck.

High fives and atta boys all around
Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him

He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right
