    Default Muzzy pig

Shot this sow down at Cuddo. Found a bunch while scouting and old spot I used to hunt. Slipped back in Friday and shot her with my old 700 ML. Her buddies skedaddled before I could get that damn thing reloaded. 250 grain Barnes TEZ over 100 grains of Triple 7 knocked her flat.

Yeah, I shot a small buck in there a couple of weeks ago and it knocked him flat. Smoke cleared and I was looking at a white belly.

Congrats on the kill! In all seriousness…what are you hunting with that for in November? Did you catch a charge or something?

He said where he shot it at genius, it was a primitive weapons season.

Primitive weapons hunt at Cuddo. I’ve never felt under gunned with it. No much on this continent that can stand up to a 250 grain copper bullet at 1900 FPS.

I shoot the Barnes spitfire TMZ’s in 250 grain out of mine. They are the only bullets I’ve found that group well with my CVA optima. For some reason, all the EZ load bullets shoot like crap out of mine. It’s like my barrel diameter is too great or something.

Maybe. The EZs are tight in mine. I tried the TMZs and could get them down the barrel in Iowa late season sub zero temps.
