    Default Breathable wader repair

Stuck my waders in the dog box for the drive back from Canada. Apparently we had a sto away.

Tenacious tape repair patch seems to be the ticket.

We will see how it holds up in season in cold water. Just tested in bath tub. 20 min. Patches are on the inside as well.

Joe if that doesn’t hold, you can use seam tape and an iron.
We use a product like this on our jackets to cover the seams and embroidery to keep from leaking, but it will do just fine on nylon soft waders also

Jacket is bone dry, I’ll give it a go if this fails.

I used 3M vinyl patch kit and then tape it. Ran them all season like that with no issues!!

If they were Chene, he’d have a new pair on the way

Would these patches work on neoprene waders? I had a mouse chew a decent hole in the leg.

I’ve repaired neoprene waders many times with shoe goo. They sell repair kits for wet and dry suits for large holes. Have you tried one of them?

I have used shoe goo on shoes, boots, and waders. Never had it last for more than one hunt without leaking.

I'm with Colin. Shoo Goo is horrible... above or below the waterline.

Got a tear in my old set of neoprenes years ago, snagged em on the boat prop. Tear was shaped like an inverted capital L. Took some thick brown thread and a needle and sutured it up and coated with aquaseal. Held for years until they just got wore the hell and needed to be replaced.

I just got in the seam tape that Union suggested. There is a small seap that is more from the in ability to completely cover the hole with one patch.

Aquaseal is better than Shoegoo. Flexseal did save a trip last year. It didn't last long.

Yeah, he'd actually be better off if they were either of the $1000 pairs.

Hoping to get a pair soon but don’t know if a mouse chewing a hole in either one is covered. I’m sure I could get a patch job done better then mine.
