Why the push for EV? Is it the feel good movement that politicians think will win votes? Does Elon have the worlds best lobbyists? Why don't we hear about clean fuel technology that could possibly replace gas/diesel and be used in the current fleet of internal combustion engines? Does it even exist?
Nothing cleaner than a coal fired (electric) vehicle.
A vote is like a rifle: its usefulness depends upon the character of the user.

There’s a company that makes new K5 bodies and will put them on Tahoe’s. It was a four door deal but pretty sure they recently launched a two door body kit. Think it’ll run you around 70k plus the donor car.
I'd be tickled if somehow electric cars became dominant. I'd love to see a new trend of people trying to see how quiet they can make their cars instead of how loud.
Once they figure out we don't have the grid or power generation plants to support it, the marxists will probably finally relent on nuclear power and tell us it was their idea all along.
My guess is another avenue for making everyone pay a usage tax for roads. Currently most roads are funded by gas tax but with ev not using gasoline, there needs to be a way to recoup those lost funds. Easiest way for the to happen is charge a usage tax based on miles driven.
"concept car" = Most likely will never see the light of day looking like that. I like the looks, but my guess is it will not look anything like that when it hits the streets.

"Within the $1 trillion infrastructure package, $125 million is earmarked to fund the pilot program for 2022-2026.
The $125 million breaks down like this:
$50 million for a national program ($10 million a year)
$75 million for state and local programs.
As stated in the infrastructure package, the vehicle mileage tax pilot program has two purposes:
To test the feasibility of a per-mile road usage fee
To raise public awareness about transportation alternatives
