I agree he and his staff deserve credit, and have done a lot of good work on multiple sites. It's encouraging to follow and see their progress down there.
However, it is still the cool thing to come on here and bash...even when folks have no clue what is or isn't going on.

You can literally go on the website and look at the #s and species killed week by week last I checked.

So, I hear they are all poorly managed.....it's not worth looking into.

10.64 ducks per hunter is pretty good for a youth hunt!

They added the "ducks/hunter" from the previous 3 columns instead of recalculating it from the total ducks and total hunters...

Somewhat related, we were out in the same impoundment as another group on a draw hunt in November. The 3 man group shot 22 times before they knocked down a bird. We stopped counting, but they probably shot about 40 times before they left at the 9:00 pickup. The biologist told us they knocked down two birds but couldn't find either.

That’s because in this day in age SC’s duck hunting world is dominated by people who can’t duck hunt.

I can’t run more than about 100 yards.

    I don’t attempt to run 5Ks.

Folks should stay in their lanes.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

Every draw hunt I've ever been on, has had some dumbasses that shot all their shells and didn't kill shit or just killed 1 or 2.

For the life of me, I can't figure out why so many people are so interested in duck hunting in SC on public land. The public land is absolutely terrible 99% of the time. Somebody please explain to me, what keeps bringing these people back to the boat ramp? I don't understand it.

Because a good percentage of public draws were jam up just a few years ago. Admittedly mostly benefiting from imprinting and proper waterfowl management by former ownership groups. A small percentage even carried some of the Managers over into State control and it worked for a while, but .gov is gonna .gov and we are where we are...
