I was there last week. Broadway has changed so much in the last decade- not a place for kids any more than Bourbon Street. Grand Old Opry is still legit though.

I was there 16 years ago on business and went back two years ago. I didn’t even realize I was in Nashville when we arrived. It was a relatively small town in 2005. Downtown was cool but it wasn’t the insane crowded mess it is today. There were no real high rises back then. That place has exploded (literally on one occasion).

    Yankees arrived en masse.

If you must go to a bar, I recommend Alan Jackson’s place called AJ’s. He doesn’t allow any country music made after like 2000 I think be played by any artist in there. It was the only place I went more than once.

I’ve been told that the town is equivalent to the old Las Vegas. We enjoy a trip every so often. Broadway is no place for a kid after 5 o’clock. Explosion damage still has a lot of second avenue closed, I believe that’s the right street number. Martin’s BBQ is good and probably the cheapest meal we had. Sun Diner for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Cumberland Park, Nashville Zoo or Adventure Science Center for the kids.

Buy front row Opry tickets now. Never know who will get booked. 3rd and Lindley for real country music, tickets required.

    Homeless people everywhere.

Worked a lot in Nashville years ago. It was a shit hole and has changed very little since! Only change is they have lost a few steps in hiding their very large homeless issue....

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!
