    Default 10-24 pm

Had a few squirrels making quite the ruckus knocking locust pods out of a giant locust tree 25 yds in front of me on a big creek bottom I was hunting. They must have knocked 20-30 pods out. Not 5 mins later had a yearling do beeline straight under the tree picking up the squirrels leftovers. Could hear this buck softly grunting in the thick stuff behind her. I could see bits and pieces of him and could have threaded the needle but figured I'd wait. He wouldn't take his eyes off her. Never would come into the open. That was until a smaller buck came in to eat and the gig was up. He barreled out and ran the smaller buck off and I let one rip. 7-08 made quick work. Not the biggest buck but a cool hunt. No scale but I'd guess 170-180lbs. Had a drop tine late summer

    Very nice buck: congrats.

I can't remember exactly which one it is. Two years ago a website had a major sale on them and a bunch of people on here were jumping on them I did the same. I wanna say it is an E5 but I honestly couldn't tell you. I love it glass is great and very good in low light with a 56 mm objective. Only complaint I would have is the eye relief gets finicky at the extreme high powers.
