Havent seen retail price recently and not sure what the $5k covers but seems steep if just CT. I would also be sure it is a True CT and not a hybrid cone beam scanner if you are forking over that cash.

Could be several thousand more to address whatever they are looking for assuming it is a treatable condition.

That being said, CT machines are also not cheap. They range from $200-300K+ and maintenance/warranties can run in excess of $30k/yr.
