After way to many weeks of " very few doves around" we've had some exciting action in my sunflower plots with late afternoon birds migrating South thru Southeast MO. Most have rocket booster speed and they're usually in groups of 6 or more making it a serious challenge to keep your eyes on the bird you just dropped into the pigweed forest. yesterday I recovered 6 birds (lost 2 more because I kept shooting instead of retrieving immediately) while firing 1.5 boxes of high brass 20s.......was it fun ? Heck YES !!
